In May of 2005 the UMFC conducted a refresher drill for Auto-extrication. Drill was administered by Instructor Hershman of the Bucks County Emergency Services Training Center. We had 3 vehicles to practice on and developed 3 different scenarios for these vehicles. The 1st scenario was a vehicle on its side. The 2nd scenario was a vehicle on its roof. The 3rd scenario was a vehicle with 2 pt’s inside (firefighters), where we tried different ways of moving the dash. Pictures below show some of the stabilization, cutting & lifting used during these scenarios.
