On October 7th 2012 Upper Makefield Firefighters were dispatched to a reported car in the canal at Route 532 and General Stark Road. Upon their arrival the driver had self extricated themselves and was awaiting Medical Treatment. UMFC Swift Water Trained Firefighters checked the subject out and assisted Police and the tow truck operator with removal of the vehicle from the canal.
