UMFC Firefighters spent the first two Sundays in December helping the Washington Crossing Re-enactors. Marine 71 was out in the river along with Marine 53 from Union Fire & Rescue in Titusville New Jersey. The first Sunday was the boat drill, where the boat crews practiced crossing the river and went over emergency drills (man over board and boat towing). The second Sunday was the Dress Rehearsal with the full crossing taking place including all the Troops, Officer’s & Boat Crews. The Firefighters also had a food stand with Bitter Bob’s Bar-B-Q as a fund raiser. The menu included Chili, Pulled Pork, Mac & Cheese, Hot Dogs, Coffee, Hot Chocolate & Bottled Water. This went over real well on a damp and chilly day. Thank you to all who stopped by and supported our fund raising efforts.
