UMFC is proud to announce that Firefighter Daniel Sheriff & Firefighter Kevin Brewer have both graduated from the Bucks County Public Safety Training Center with a National Certification in Firefighter 1. Graduation was held on Wednesday August 10th, 2016 at the Bucks County Community College. Firefighter Sheriff was part of “Battalion 6” which met Monday Thru Friday, 8 hours a day for 2 months this summer. Firefighter Brewer was part of “Battalion 2” which met 2 nights a week and some Saturdays for over five months. Firefighter 1 Certification is comprised of a total of 194 hours of classroom and hands on training. “Battalion 6” & “Battalion 2” were two of the three Battalions that graduated this night totaling approximately 60 new volunteer firefighters getting their Firefighter 1 certification. The residents of Upper Makefield should feel proud to have two more Dedicated Trained Volunteers able to assist them during emergencies. UMFC is very happy to have Firefighters Sheriff & Brewer as part of Our Team. On a side note Firefighter Brewer is a 3rd generation Firefighter serving the residents of Upper Makefield Township.
