UMFC was dispatched to a reported dwelling fire in the 300 block of Stonybrook Road at 0639hrs on Sunday 4/7/2013. Upon arrival of Upper Makefield Police, they reported a working fire. With the arrival of Deputy 71, he confirmed heavy fire showing from the 2nd and 3rd floor of the rear of the 3 story 200 year old farm house. Engine 81 & Engine 71’s crews made an aggressive exterior and interior attack to knock the fire down. UMFC was assisted by the Newtown Fire Association, Yardley Makefield Fire Company, Titusville Fire Company and New Hope-Eagle Fire Company. Due to the large amount of fire, additional water tankers were called for from the Lingohocken Fire Company, Northampton Fire Company, New Hope Eagle Fire Company, Titusville Fire Company, Midway Fire Company and Warwick Fire Company. A special call was put out for an air cascade unit from Lingohocken Fire Company to refill the air packs and for a canteen unit from Trevose Fire Company for rehab. Newtown Ambulance also was on scene for any medical emergencies, and transported one occupant to the hospital. Companies were in-service for approximately 4.5 hours with extinguishment and overhaul. The scene is under investigation by the Upper Makefield Township Fire Marshal. UMFC was covered during the incident by Yardley Makefield Fire Company Rescue 80 and Stockton Fire Company Tanker 23.
