On Sunday July 1st 2018 UMFC Firefighters participated in a training exercise with Newtown Fire Association Firefighters at the soon to be demolished Council Rock Junior High School in Newtown.  Firefighters normally train by simulating real life situations at the Fire School.  By having this type of training in an acquired structure gives new and old firefighters experience doing skills that they were taught during fire school that they cant simulate at the fire school. Crews practiced Forcible Entry skills using hand tools on solid wooden doors and practiced using the tools on counter-tops to get more experience with then. Crews then practiced as a team doing search & rescue while advancing a Hose Line.
