Upper Makefield Firefighters were dispatched to assist Newtown Firefighters at a reported Dwelling Fire on Sunday July 17th.   

Newtown Fire Association was dispatched to a reported Dwelling Fire in the 100 block of Stoopville Road Sunday Afternoon.  Newtown Township Police and Deputy Chief 45 arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a 3 story dwelling.  Upper Makefield Fire Company (Engine 81), Lingohocken Fire Company and Northampton Fire Company were added on the report of a working fire along with Newtown Ambulance and Tri-Hampton EMS (Rehab Unit).  Companies encountered heavy fire on all 3 floors of the dwelling.  Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company was added for relief.  All crews made good progress and worked quickly to contain the fire.  UMFC Engine 81 was in-service assisting Newtown Fire Assoc. for 2 hours.
